Coffee contains soluble fiber which feeds bacteria in the large intestines. This same fiber also has beneficial effects on your heart and brain.


However, adding milk to your coffee actually makes the antioxidants less available to you. Decaf coffee has almost the same amount of polyphenols as caffeinated coffee- so you can choose to have whichever you like.
